To you, weak and nameless
It’s suggested , and I dare, to sing of triumphantly, this scorn you cannot bare.
You’ve no doubt realized, if not beforehand then this morning, that the further involvement you have, the further I’m plunged to your Opposition. You can no longer lead me by the elbow, for my elbow’s no longer there, but lay afloat with the rest of me wading in the water. Emerged under a new light and no longer tangible, your frustration must be something tremendous.
Don’t misunderstand, while confident in my defense, you have no hope for the other extreme either. By His grace I know constant repentance through faith will keep me humble in the sight of the Lord.
But many words you don’t deserve, only the full acknowledgment of my standing you’ve so feared.
Your defeat is complete, may your eternal punishment be according to your eternal failure.
